Supporting Our Shareholders

Maori Investments Limited is committed to supporting shareholders by providing Kaumātua Grants and Tertiary Education Grants.

Applications can be made online or by downloading a form to complete offline.

Grants

Kaumātua Grants

The Kaumātua Grants are now officially CLOSED.

Applications for 2026 will be available online from Friday, 6 March.

Tertiary Grants

The Tertiary Education Grant is designed to support and promote academic success for Shareholders and their descendants of Māori Investments Limited.

MIL holds a partnership with Māori Education Trust (MET) who have additional scholarships/grants available. Please visit their website at Māori Education Trust for more information.

Tertiary Grant Applications will open on Friday, 6 March 2026.

Please read:

  1. Applicants must provide confirmation of their enrollment, fees, and course information.
  2. These education grants are not available for FREE study courses (i.e. programs incurring no fees)
  3. Cohorts of all study levels can apply. Subject to meeting requirements.
  4. Students can only submit one (1) application in a full calendar year.
  5. If an applicant withdraws from their study course or subjects before or after receiving the grant, they must notify us as soon as possible. If this does not occur, the applicant may not be eligible for further grants.
  6. Successful applications must be received by the closing on Friday, 5 June 2026, 3 p.m.
  7. Approved applicants will receive (2) instalments. Instalment 1 – first half upon approval of the grant. Instalment 2 – final payment upon completion of studies by submitting a completion certificate or certified academic results from your tertiary institution by 1 December. Note: Applicants must pass their study programs to receive their final instalments.
  8. The Board of Māori Investments Limited has the sole discretion to accept or decline any application.
